January has already been a busy month with a presentation at the National Transgender Religious
Summit and a sold out lunch and learn program by noted author Maggie Anton on homosexuality in the
middle ages and her latest book in the Rashi's Daughters series.
Kulanu, the LGBT inclusion guide that the IJSO edited for the URJ Press has already sold over 700 copies –
an incredible number for a resource guidebook of its kind. Among the various gems in Kulanu, there are three
original curriculums on stereotypes and prejudice, Reform views on same gender marriage and on Trans 101: Gender
Diversity in Judaism. We have been having great interest in these workshops and would love to get feedback from
you if you have used them or Kulanu in your community.
February is filled with events and presentations and we are actively working on our LGBT Welcoming Synagogues
Project. If you are interested in being part of a national pilot program with great resources, let us know.
